Paul G. Hewitt Former silver-medal boxing champion, sign painter, uranium prospector, and soldier, Paul began college at the age of 27, with the help of the GI Bill.
He pioneered the conceptual approach to teaching physics at the City College of San Francisco. I was dreading physics but with a good professor and an easy to read book, with many diagrams, pictures, and explanations, physics was made much easier!
I would recommend this book to those interested in physics to gain a basic understanding of physics. Necessary information presented with many pictures and graphs. We used it for a basic introductory class. I needed to reread some paragraphs, but basically understandable, good practice problems at end of each chapter.
If you want to learn about physics, this is the book for you. Starts off pretty simple, and you might think you already know it. The cartoonish illustrations are quite helpful and the photo examples featuring friends, family, students, conceptual physics hewitt 12th edition pdf free download, and luminaries of the field are quite endearing.
